1500 Kms in the rain!
28.10.2010
Next it was time for our own adventure! We picked up our superawesome new rental car with only 31kms on it - Albertina!

Spent the first day doing Cape Point (sort of the Southernmost tip of Africa)!

We then took Albertina to a coastal town called Hermanus, famous for whale watching. Didn't see any whales but it was beautiful anyway... quick stop then a RAINY miserable drive up the Garden Route to Plett Bay where we stayed for a night before setting off for Chintsa - on the Wild Coast! Never thought the weather could get worse - but it did.... downpours to the point that we had to pull over on the highway! Stunning area (would have been better without the rain!) but it let up enough to get outside for a few minutes.

Finally it was another long drive to a beach near Port Shepstone for some more rain and movie nights. We stayed just outside of Durban so it was an early start to drive to Pietermeritzberg to drop off Albertina and meet Galby's grandparents (who he hasn't seen since 1987!)!!!!

Till Next Time!
